Coverings, the largest international tile and stone exhibition and conference in North America, has been cancelled for COVID 19 emergency, but has recently announced a brand-new digital experience called Coverings Connected. The multi-session online event will take place from April 20 to 23, 2020, via coverings.com, to provide attendees with digital access to learning opportunities via live webinars, tile and stone trends presentations, on-demand content, and an online showcase of Coverings tile and stone exhibitors from around the world.

Coverings Connected will further Coverings’ mission to grow the vibrant tile and stone industry and provide selected educational opportunities given the recently cancelled Coverings 2020.

“Our goal is to support Coverings 2020 exhibiting companies by providing them with an opportunity to feature their products and announcements in a digital environment,” said Jennifer Hoff, president of Taffy Event Strategies, LLC, the event management firm for Coverings. “Similarly, attendees of Coverings Connected will be presented a variety of online offerings, such as live webinars, on-demand content, live chats and the opportunity to set up appointments with exhibitors.”

Attendees of Coverings Connected are also able to engage with 900+ exhibitors through online Exhibitor Galleries and the New Product Showcase. Exhibitor information will be made available during and after the Coverings Connected event dates for attendees to search products, view exhibitor press releases, set appointments, watch exhibitor videos, and learn the latest trends in the industry.

Sicer, as a Coverings exibitor, decided to attend Coverings Connected, with the presentation of the new range of GRA DRY-LUX.

It is G R A DRY-LUX, a range of Extra Compact Transparent Grits which, through lapping / polishing, allow to obtain ultra-bright surfaces but with technical characteristics of the surface, which until today have not been reached.

The renewed GRA DRY-LUX series, combined with the low emission digital glue, LOW EMISSION SCD1990.LE, guarantees, on black backgrounds:

  • Total transparency,
  • Management of the accurate agreement of expansion coefficient between glass and body,
  • Total absence of porosity,
  • Excellent management of digital color development
  • Considerable depth of glass
  • High surface hardness (scratchproof).

Even before the usual chemical treatment, surfaces made with GRA GRAN LUX products are totally resistant to chemical agents; therefore they can also be used as surfaces for kitchen worktops.

The combination proposed by Sicer, GRA DRY-LUX grits and SCD1990.LE digital glue, has been studied by the Technology Sicer Lab in order to achieve unique finished product levels, in terms of technical characteristics and perfection of the glass.

The Dry-Lux project is proposed and developed on each customer by highly qualified Sicer Technologists, after prior analysis and verification of the industrial production conditions of the user.

Sicer Technology Lab, exclusively presents at Coverings 2020, the new  range versions of  the DRY-LUX calibrated grits on large format slabs and on different thicknesses.
